Casadei Shoes

Casadei is designer I wasn't too familiar with until recently but their shoes quickly became the new screen saver in my mind when I saw their sixties inspired collections for this summer.

From their winter collection- Perfect with an all black look, i'm seeing a big, black fur jacket with these and wool tights. Knitted turban on top.

Navy leather t-bar wedge/platforms- These would go with pretty much every dress I own, and that is why I need them. Love the gold insert in the heel.

Like Prada's summer collection Casadei are also using alot of cork soles to get the sixties vibe going however they make theirs unique by adding a slice of mahogany coloured wood to the sole.

The evening heels. I see these with a long sleeved black maxi dress. Accessorised with chunky gold bangles.

These platforms by Topshop capture the same feel but wont break the bank at £68.

Team all these shoes with large floppy hats, round sunglasses and short short dresses.

1st Dibs

While perusing 1stdibs.com a couple of stunning full length dresses court my eye. I would love to have these dresses in my life.

Floral silk with...

plunging back and buttons.

Silk and cashmere dress with pockets. Could be a little bit dowdy if not worn correctly, I would team this dress with...

These sandals by Prada and cerise pink nail polish. Or...

Purple Christian Louboutin 'Delic' pumps.

Prada Shoes

The new screen savers in my mind are as follows:

Platform suede sandals. These look really comfortable and would go with pretty much everything I own.

T-bar with cork platform and wooden heel. I would prefer these in black leather.

Woven flats. Perfect summer shoes, these would look great with 50s style summer dresses.

Love a bit of laser cut leather.

That Red Dress

This dress is AMAZING! At first glance you'd probably think it was from Prada but no it's from good old Zara. From a distance it looks like it is made from neoprene but close up you can see it's a great wool blend.

At £99 the price point is a little bit higher than I would like it to be but it is one of those dresses that i'd really get my moneys worth with.

The 'matcher' in me would lead me to team the red dress with this red jacket (I suggest it alot because it looks good with everything) and red lips.

Red, Red, Red- Chanel Rouge Allure lip gloss.

Bare legs and leopard print boots by Kandee on foot.

Bun on the top.

Celine

Celine is rapidly becoming my label of choice since Phoebe Philo took control of the brand last year. Here are some of the reasons why...

Leather cape teamed with jeans and stripe top.

Simple white lace top

The feather skirt has been 'done' alot in recent seasons but I love how Celine team this waste fitting skirt with a simple long sleeve top and green shoes (would also look great with black patent pumps).

A great coat and jumper dress combo.... I want these pieces in my life!

Ankle boots to be teamed with Prada's wool socks and jumper dress.

Pony fur tote. Fits everything, can be taken everywhere.

Coats

Winter can't come fast enough....

Double collared sherling, Burberry Prorsum

Navy military, Love the big collar. Burberry Prorsum again...

And again....

And again.... I heart Burberry Prorsum!

Navy high collared jacket by Celine

The shoulders on this coat by Celine adds a modern edge to a traditional style.

Double breasted and double collared tweed coat by Prada. This collection is seemingly inspired by 1950s librarians...

Prada

Skirt coat, Prada. There isn't enough of this style of coat around!

A bit of beading, Prada

Vintage Dresses

Most of my dresses are vintage. I love foraging in vintage markets and shops looking for them. I think one of the most important things to look for in a vintage dress is fabulous fabric. The fabric is the first thing I register when I see a dress and then I look to the style of the dress. Alot of vintage dresses are that funny mid calf length but don't let that put you off, it is relatively cheap to have a dress taken up and it can transform the dress from being slightly drab to AMAZING.

Some of my best finds...

Lanvin Maxi dress, New York

Whimsical puff sleeve dress, Manchester. This dress was maxi when I got it but I think it works much better as a mini, as a maxi it was too much of a look. I wear this one with black Prada ankle boots and socks. Hair in a bun.

My newest purchase from Portobello Market (Ladbroke Grove end). This one was that funny mid calf length when I got it, love it short. I'm really looking forward to wearing this with black YSL tribute too pumps (when I get them) and black tights in winter.

When I found this Valentino dress it had long sleeves which made it very 80s... I got the sleeves shortened (my mum used the left over fabric to cover a head band). I teamed it with purple YSL pumps and my trusty Dior (Willie Wonka) sunglasses for a couple of weddings last year.
