1st Dibs

While perusing 1stdibs.com a couple of stunning full length dresses court my eye. I would love to have these dresses in my life.

Floral silk with...

plunging back and buttons.

Silk and cashmere dress with pockets. Could be a little bit dowdy if not worn correctly, I would team this dress with...

These sandals by Prada and cerise pink nail polish. Or...

Purple Christian Louboutin 'Delic' pumps.

Prada Shoes

The new screen savers in my mind are as follows:

Platform suede sandals. These look really comfortable and would go with pretty much everything I own.

T-bar with cork platform and wooden heel. I would prefer these in black leather.

Woven flats. Perfect summer shoes, these would look great with 50s style summer dresses.

Love a bit of laser cut leather.

That Red Dress

This dress is AMAZING! At first glance you'd probably think it was from Prada but no it's from good old Zara. From a distance it looks like it is made from neoprene but close up you can see it's a great wool blend.

At £99 the price point is a little bit higher than I would like it to be but it is one of those dresses that i'd really get my moneys worth with.

The 'matcher' in me would lead me to team the red dress with this red jacket (I suggest it alot because it looks good with everything) and red lips.

Red, Red, Red- Chanel Rouge Allure lip gloss.

Bare legs and leopard print boots by Kandee on foot.

Bun on the top.

Agnes B

Agnes B is a label i've never been that interested in (to be honest I thought it was a maternity wear) until I saw their taffeta silk dresses through a shop window the other day. These dresses made me look a little bit further into their collection and I liked what I saw.

One of the best capes i've seen this season.

I do enjoy a good shift dress and love the translucent silk panel below the collar. This would be great with a pair of high high heels or black quilted leather ballet pumps.

There is something very appealing about this 80s Laura Ashley style smock. Better without the belt and shown back wards here, I like the buttons at the front.

The dress that first grabbed my attention. I could see myself wearing this one all the time however NOT with matching tights and kitten heels.

Cos

Simple well tailored pieces, classic cuts and a great website= Cos

The Campaign

The Looks
Wool coat with bow detail

Leather and wool skirt, love the two layered approach.

Dress with drape teamed with long leather gloves- Such simple yet stylish looks.

Lace high waisted skirt.

Leather trim dress. I would team this one with a pair of over the knee boots or black tights and patent platform court shoes. Over the top a knitted double breasted cardi like...

This one by Stella McCartney. Cos is definitely heavily influence by Stella and Celine.

Another great coat- Team this one with fitted clothing, baggy with baggy is rarely a good idea.

Ankle Boots

Ankle boots with lace or crochet trimmed socks has been one of my favorite looks his year. Black ankle boots are fast becoming a wardrobe staple for me and i've always got my eye out for new pairs. Here are a few which i'm thinking about purchasing or have already purchased...

I wasn't sure how I felt about these boots at first but the have really grown on me. They're a nice, more interesting take on the black boot. Kurt Geiger, £390

I have just bought this pair from Urban Outfitters. I'm a big fan of wooden heels and the platform means these are comfortable enough for wearing during the day.

Zip on the outside with an angular wedge. Acne, £405

Suede lace up shoe boots with a corset up the heel Corset backs can look tacky but here it works.   Azzedine Alaia, £965

Tommy Hilfiger

I'm not normally a fan of Tommy Hilfiger but I will defo be popping in come sale time to get this dress. The picture does it little justice- I can't wait to wear it with t-shirts underneath and sequin cardigans.

Silk and cashmere maxi dress. £330, Tommy Hilfiger

TBA

I adore TBA (To Be Adored). Their current collection boasts peter pan collars, pompoms and shift dresses with pockets. Grown up clothes with a romantic, whimsical edge.

Velvet and pompoms can be a hard look to pull of so I would team this dress with black tights and YSL patent tribute shoes or Louboutins studded ankle boots.

More velvet! Love the silk antique collar.

Silk shirt dress with antique collar.

Pompom skirt.

The dress that introduced me to TBA.

Available at Urban Outfitters, Asos and ilovetba.com

Feeling a Bit Flat

It seems the majority of us spend the most money on the shoes we wear the least. I am the first person to fork out for a pair of sky high heels I wear sporadically and then spend little on the shoes I wear all the time. I think it's time we all embrace fabulous flats.

I saw these Charlotte Olympia pumps on someone last week and loved them. They also come in red satin. £518, available at Matches.

This picture does these patent loafers by Kurt Geiger little justice. I like the pinked edging around the tongue. £110

Cute lace ups by Christian Louboutin

I can't get enough of Christian Louboutin's high top sneakers.

More Louboutin sneakers (trainers). I would team these with a grey jersey maxi dress and a fancy jacket.

Lemon and gold French Sole ballerinas. Wear with cigar leg trousers and twin sets for the Audrey Hepburn look. £55 (sale)

Cheap and Chic- Zara, £29.99

Huddersfield Vintage Market

One of the highlights of a trip home is visiting Huddersfield Second Hand Market. Under the 'Victorian cast iron glass roof canopy' is housed a mixture of antique jewelry, vintage clothing, silver ware and other objects from the past that are not over priced like in the shops and southern markets. Some of my favorite things have been purchased from this market. Another place worth visiting if you find yourself in Huddersfield on a tuesday or saturday.

The Venue...

The Stores...
Glass and silverware

Cruet Sets

Mink coats a steal at £45

Jewelry

Compacts

They also sell fruit and veg- Behold the worlds largest strawberry (according to my sister).

The Finds...
A bit of nostalgia. A pie plate from 1928, it commemorates a fund raising event where they made a really big pie in aid of the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

My second Htown market croc bag. This one was only £10.

The first croc bag

Green Gloves

Gold compact, £3
